Abstract

The Roaring Twenties was a time of great economic and technologic expansion in the United States, particularly in California. Oakland, California, was the site of many manufacturing industries, including shipbuilding, aircraft, and automotive. Once known as the “Detroit of the West,” Oakland was host to 3 major automobile factories churning out sedans, coupes, convertibles, and roadsters.1,2
