Abstract

Based on the relaxational model developed, the paper presents the mechanisms underlying the thermal conductivity and viscosity coefficients of substances in solid, liquid, and gaseous states. The analysis of the model made it possible to derive the temperature-varying thermal conductivity and viscosity coefficients. Their calculations from the proposed formulae are given for a number of well-known materials, and a good agreement with experimental results is shown.
