Abstract

It is shown that Chiral Perturbation Theory can be improved significantly by incorporating the unitarity relation. The usual Vector Meson Dominance emerges naturally in this scheme. Physical applications such as the pion form factor, the pion pion elastic scattering, ν→ π° γγ and K L→ π° γγ are given. In particular, because of the unitarisation procedure, the P-wave pion loop contribution leads directly to the ϱ Vector Meson Dominance model, and hence it gives a correct rate for ν→ π° γγ (instead of being too small by a factor of 230 as given by the standard Chiral Perturbation Theory).
