Abstract

The existence of different sets of $R$-matrix parameters describing the same cross sections for a given spin-parity state is studied in the context of low-energy neutron reactions in fissile elements. For two fission channels and well-spaced resonances different sets of fission vectors are found describing essentially the same set of cross-section curves.
