Abstract

In this paper, the uniqueness of solutions for systems of the type ω t = K( x, t) ω xx , 0 < x < p, t > 0, subject to ω(0, t) = ω( p, t) and ω( x, 0) = F( x) is studied. Here ω and F are vectors and K( x, t) = P( x) Q( t), where P( x) and Q( t) are square real matrices satisfying some additional properties.
