Abstract

Intraperitoneal instillation of colloidal phosphorus-32 is a useful adiuvant therapeutic option for early-stage ovarian cancer. Intraperitoneal Tc-99m SC scans are obtained routinely to ensure correct catheter placement before phosphorus-32 instillation. A case of unintentional intraluminal small bowel catheter placement is described, redemonstrating the necessity of pretherapy scanning to ensure intraperitoneal delivery of phosphorus-32. Delayed planar views and SPECT can be helpful in such cases
