Abstract

A known result for low-pressure thermal unimolecular rate coefficients in the presence of very weak colliders is that these coefficients depend on the detailed energy-transfer rate constants only through the total collision frequency and the average energy transferred per collision. It is shown that this result holds at all pressures both for thermal reactions and for reactions following chemical activation.
