Abstract

This report describes a rare case of unilateral ocular toxoplasmosis associated with acute papillitis. A 21-year-old male visited the outpatient department with the chief complaint of blurring of vision in the left eye. Based on clinical and laboratory investigation, a diagnosis of ocular toxoplasmosis with acute papillitis was made. Patient was managed with systemic medication. Improvement in best corrected visual acuity from 20/60 to 20/20 along with resolution of vitritis and disc edema was noted.
