Abstract

Abstract A discrete uniform distribution has constant probability for each integer within a stated range. A continuous uniform distribution has constant probability density within a stated range. The continuous uniform distribution in the range (0, 1) has connections with the probability integral transformation, and with the exponential, logistic, and beta distributions. Some characterizations of functions of two independent random variables are given.
