Uniform convergence of V-cycle multigrid finite element method for one-dimensional time-dependent fractional problem

Abstract

Analysing the fractional τ-norm, the uniform convergence of the V-cycle multigrid FEM for the time-dependent fractional problem is strictly proved when τ→0. The numerical experiments are performed to verify the convergence with O(NlogN) complexity by fast Fourier transform method.
