Abstract

We present a set of coupled integral equations for the reactions \ensuremath{\gamma}N\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\pi}N,\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}N and \ensuremath{\pi}N\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\pi}N,\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}N, that satisfy two- and three-body unitarity. These equations are based on a chiral bag Lagrangian in which the coupling to the photon is introduced at the quark level by demanding U(1) local gauge invariance. The final equations include the contribution of both meson exchange and isobar currents.
