Abstract

Theoretical models of near-field wireless power transfer (WPT) are proposed. At first, theoretical model of coupled resonant type WPT is proposed. This model allows us to understand mechanism of WPT from viewpoint of both coupling and resonance. After that, theoretical model of near-field WPT, including coupled resonant type, transmission line type, and electric field type, is proposed. By using these models, various kinds of WPT systems based on different technologies, such as power electronics technology, antenna technology, and microwave technology can be explained in a unified manner.
