Abstract
Objectives This is a systematic review conducted to compare the outcomes between unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Material and Methods Collection of data from different websites in the period from 2010 to May 2021 that studied UKA or TKA in treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Comparison was made between the two techniques was performed of 12 literatures according to the study criteria and the PRESMA figure. Results There is no difference in age between the two techniques, however, there is a significant difference in gender and BMI (P < 0.05). The mean follow-up period of the patients was 4.14 ± 3.05 years and 3.94 ± 2.65 years in UKA and TKA groups, respectively. There is good improvement of VAS, KSS, OKS, KSS, WOMAC, ROM postoperatively regarding both techniques.
