Abstract
The public participation on integrated forest management process is a privileged orientation of many governments within their sustainable forest policy. Generally, this participation involves a complex decision making process. A multicriteria approach, where stakeholders agreed on interests arbitration process, is of great potential to integrate the multiple dimensions of integrated forest management. The process allows the involvement of multiple users in a given area to take part in the forest management planning which could be socially acceptable as well socially responsible.
