Abstract

This note presents the edition and the commentary of an inscribed brick of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II, kept in the collection of the Corpus inscriptionum semiticarum’s Cabinet. This brick is of much interest due to its being one of the first objects bearing a cuneiform inscription to be brought to France, the study of which has enabled progress to be made in the decipherment of this script.
