Abstract
The performance of traditional underwater acoustic sensor array is limited in actual operation because of the single sampling rate and synchronization errors caused by the distribution of different hydrophones. To overcome these problems, a high precision synchronization method is presented. Firstly on the basis of the previous system, the function of variable sampling rate is accomplished by using a new system topology structure and an improved phase-locked loop (PLL). Secondly, fast resynchronization under sampling rates conversion is achieved by a novel resynchronization method. Thirdly, the ignored synchronization errors are compensated by embedding different delays to different hydrophones. Finally, related experiments verified the performance of the presented method.
