Abstract

Introduction: Underutilization of evidence-based medications in patients (pts) with HF has been previously described; however, little is known about the use of beta blockers (BBs) or angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) in pts following cardiac device procedures. Therefore, we assessed drug prescriptions among pts with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), cardiac resynchronization therapy with or without ICD (CRT) in a large contemporary national managed care database.
