Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women globally, with an increasing incidence of breast cancer in young women in India and worldwide. Despite medical advancements, the lifetime risk of developing breast cancer is still high. The emergence of breast cancer in young women is now acknowledged as a distinct entity characterized by unique clinical and biological features and an overall poor prognosis. This article discusses the changing landscape of breast cancer in young women in India and globally, potentialexamples of the underlying reasons, and possible strategies to start reversing the current upward trend.
