Abstract

This paper explores social media's impact on young adults' relationships, focusing on self-conscious emotions, social comparison, self-esteem, and mental health. It analyzes how social comparison processes shape interpersonal dynamics and mediate communication patterns, boundary setting, and trust-building. By synthesizing existing literature, it offers insights for promoting healthy digital engagement and relational well-being.
