Abstract
We thank for Dr. Celik's sincere comments on our recent paper [ [1] Park C.B. Hong M.K. Kim Y.H. et al. Comparison of angiographic patterns of in-stent restenosis between sirolimus-and paclitaxel-eluting stent. Int J Cardiol. 2007; 120: 387-390 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF PubMed Scopus (31) Google Scholar ]. In spite of recent hot issue about stent thrombosis, in-stent restnosis (ISR) is one of most important issues in drug-eluting stents (DES) era. Prior studies made progress the pathogenesis and causes of ISR but not so much known to those of ISR pattern between Cypher (Cordis corporation, Miami, FL) and Taxus (Boston scientific, Natric, MA) stent. So far, several possible explanations about different ISR pattern in Cypher and Taxus stent exist, as stated by Celik et al., but have flaws on each explanation as well.
