Abstract
The aim of this article is to show how a Correlation Skew can be built in a local correlation model or with common jumps on the underlyings of the basket. Using small time asymptotics (Watanabe's expansion and evolution operator theory), we provide efficient approximations to help understand how the basket implied variance skew is generated.
