Abstract

The Office for Civil Rights is the enforcement arm of the United States Department of Education. OCR enforces numerous federal civil rights laws, including Section 504 and Title II of the ADA, that prohibit discrimination. To this end, the agency investigates complaints filed by students or other persons against their educational institution. This article explores frequently asked questions about the OCR complaint process.
