Abstract

main aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive guide to the writings of Graham Greene, who is described as one of England's most distinguished living authors. It is particularly designed for those unfamiliar with his work. first chapter provides an overview of Greene's career and major themes in his writings. Subsequent chapters focus on his early novels (It's a Battlefield, England Made Me and Brighton Rock), his major religious novels (including The Power and the Glory and The Heart of the Matter), the political novels of his middle career (such as The Quiet American and The Comedians) and his later fiction (including The Honorary Consul, Travels with My Aunt and Doctor Fischer of Geneva). final chapter covers Greene's plays, stories and essays.
