• One’s behavior is highly sensitive to his or her social and physical environment. • Investigated CRS use, perceived severity, and context sensitivity. • About 25% of the parents let their child out of the car seat when resisted. • Over 30% of the survey participants’ child sat in a car seat with no safety straps. • Behavior settings affect CRS use behavior significantly.
