Abstract

Part of the National Science Digital Library, the Alsos Digital Library for Nuclear Issues is a web-based collection of annotated references to resources in five media that offer a broad, balanced perspective on nuclear issues. Undergraduate students have participated in important roles in the development of the content of the library and the computer system that supports access to and maintenance of the library. Working in a team, they create annotations, and work on the four tiers of the system: the user interface, the search engine, the database structure, and the metadata component.
