Abstract

This is a brief review on how the order parameter symmetry of exotic superconductors may be probed experimentally. Some variants of experimental techniques employed in searches for evidence of unconventional superconductivity in unusual metals are discussed. Many independent results indicate that the gap in the electronic excitation spectrum of these superconductors has nodes in the form of lines or points on the Fermi surface.
