Abstract
Considering the wide application of chaotic sequences, especially in chaotic direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) systems, it is important to guarantee an efficient and synchronous reception of chaotic DSSS signals. However, the sequence characteristics can decrease the performance in different acquisition aspects. Hence, we propose an unconventional direct acquisition method to improve systems that rely on chaotic DSSS signals. The proposed method outperforms similar methods in acquisition characteristics such as accuracy, speed, and detection probability.
