Abstract
By using a gauge condition and a change of variables different from the previous treatment of the ten-dimensional superparticle, we get a gauge-fixed action which is both quadratic and free and gives a correct counting of propagating field degrees of freedom. We explicitly show that the gauge-fixed action is BRST invariant and that the BRST charge is nilpotent off shell. In this way we have solved the constraints on the BRST symmetry, which existed in a previous quantization.
