Abstract

Question: A 45-year-old woman came to the gastroenterology department after diarrhea concurrent with lower abdominal pain for 5 days. She was complaining of diarrhea after drinking 200 mL red wine without any greasy diet. The frequency of defecation was 1–2 times a day, with a loose yellow stool, accompanied by paroxysmal abdominal pain (pain score: 1–2 points) and nausea, without any other obvious discomfort. All paraclinical tests including stool, urine, liver function, and amylase were reported as normal apart from a mild anemia.
