Abstract

In remote control system, communication networks links between sensor and estimator, controller and actuator driver respectively. Any abnormal operation in communication networks, even if of small degree, could seriously affect on the stability and reliability of control system. In the study, finding a method is aimed for the modeling of remote control system that used in commercial communication networks with uncertainty caused by random disturbance in communication networks. Modeling of simple remote control system which used in commercial communication networks is discussed. Also TCP/IP model described in frame of a stochastic hybrid model is adopted with adding a general control system. In this study, feasibility of stochastic hybrid modeling for communication system with random uncertainty in remote controller is examined. Also the method how to connect the stochastic hybrid model of TCP/IP communication to general control system is discussed. It is shown that the time delay and packet loss of TCP/IP traffic could be model as sensor signal delay which has saturation threshold.
