Abstract
The first and second order method of analyzing uncertainty is incorporated into the design of subirrigation systems. The uncertainty in the design due to both the unsaturated and saturated hydraulic conductivity is considered. Numerical examples are given that show how the method may enable designers of subirrigation systems to estimate confidence limits on the design drain spacing.
