Abstract

Helium plasma temperature estimated by means of the two-line ratio method is shown to have a high degree of uncertainty. The Fowler-Milne method is proved to be more accurate and appropriate than the two-line ratio method for helium plasma temperature measurement in the temperature range up to about 25,000°K.
