Abstract

This article approaches the context of environmental and social crisis that is occurring on Afro-descendants’ Collective Territories located in the biodiverse Colombian Pacific region which has been affected by industrial mega-projects developed by government and transnational corporations since 1990. Here we analyze the case of an alternative alimentary solution created by Afro-Colombian groups, who organized themselves to find alternatives to predatory development, armed violence and consequent forced displacement from their collective territories.
