Abstract
Tagetes es un género americano que incluye ca. 55 especies de hierbas anuales y perennes, aromáticas. En el presente trabajo se informa por primera vez la presencia de T. praetermissa en Argentina. Se recolectaron ejemplares en la provincia de Jujuy, en los Departamentos de Cochinoca, Humahuaca y Yavi, y se elaboró una descripción morfológica a partir de los mismos. Se presenta una clave para diferenciar Tagetes praetermissa de las otras especies anuales de Tagetes que viven en el Noroeste de Argentina.
