Abstract

In this clinical case, the reason for consultation—a unilateral back pain that follows the Zushaoyang trajectory—ends up as one symptom more of the disturbances of almost all the functions and relationships of the Gallbladder Fu. Namely: its control function for filtering pure fluids (Jinye) to the Zang of the upper Jiao, affecting the Lung (pharyngitis) and Heart (disturbance of Shen); its close link with the Jing of the Kidney (cystitis), that nourishes the pure essence of the bile from the lower Jiao, this influencing bone nutrition (2 recent fractures) and, finally, its determining role in the implementation—the decision—, as well as the containment and detention capacity of the subject, particularly manifested in the control of verbal expression (observed during the anamnesis). The resolving of the case involved the knot point of the coupled Biao-Li meridien (Jueyin), RM 18 (Yutang).
