Abstract
This is an edition of an unpublished poem by Alvaro Cubillo de Aragon, entitled Conversion de un pecador a los pies de un santo Cristo crucificado... and printed in Granada in 1637. This preliminary essay discusses the circumstances around its writing (apparently, the plague struck Malaga in that same year) and it studies the themes and rhetoric forms this poem shares with other religious poetry and literature of its day.
