Abstract

The present article is a report on the state of preservation and restoration of the Greek manuscript 444 = Villa-Amil 22 that was seriously damaged by fire during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). The manuscript was used by the Complutensian collaborators to edit the Greek column of the Alcala Polyglot. The author describes the parts of the manuscript that are preserved as well as their state of preservation and also identifies the full contents of the two CD-Roms with the restored and digitized material. Finally the author puts forward some remarks on the textual character of the manuscript and its use in the Complutensian Polyglot.
