Abstract
This monograph/ constitutes the last chapter of a thesis of Doctorat es lettres : « The population of the Greek Islands, an essay of insular geography about eastern mediterranean area» taken at the University of Aix-Marseille II in June 1973. Of course, Donoussa does not represent in itself the whole insular Greece ; but the latter includes a great deal of tiny islands among which Donoussa is somewhat the quintessence of economical and human problems in an archipelago which life is gradually deserting.
