Abstract

A Middle Neolithic occupation was discovered in the course of an archaeological evaluation realised in Antran (dept. Vienne, France) before a commercial development. The material, found in river Vienne alluvium, consists of four Chassey vessels, of Northern style by decoration seen on a rare coupe à socle. These finds probably lied in a funerary or ritual pit whose limits remained unclear.
