Abstract
The document that is presented today contributes new knowledge regarding the history of the construction of the monastery of San Juan de los Reyes and the Franciscan Order in Toledo. It permits us to draw closer to a knowledgeable understanding of the main motivations and vicissitudes that occurred during the beginning of this Franciscan institution in the city, as well as the analysis of certain questions about its construction, and the men who promoted, designed, and built it.
