Abstract

The study of a juvenile skull of Gomphotherium angustidens from the middle Miocene of Castelnau-Barbarens (Gers) with decidual teeth leads to the identification of some specific cranial characters and to the definition of some evolutionary trends of the skull among miocene mas-todonts.
