Abstract
This work responds to the call of the editor of Bomgeam in its edition 9 (2022) Nr.1 and in thanks to the honored Prof. Dr. Herbert Pöllmann (in memoriam) for his participation in a literary event in Belém, on the occasion of the launch of the book “O que evitar nas apresentações em PPT”, which took place in 2012, accompanied by the editor Prof. Dr. Marcondes Lima da Costa, prefacer of this book. Some requirements for the organization and conservation of the museum collection are presented, based on the scarce bibliographic reference and on observations made during visits to museums. In Brazil, specific legislation on museums is governed by Law No. 11,904, of January 14, 2009 (Museum Statute). This law defines and excludes from the Museum Statute the “visitable collections”, eliminating in its organization the requirements imposed on museums. As a materialization of this tribute, the “Wonder’ Room” (Quarto das Maravilhas) of Aracati-CE is used, a kind of personal museum or one of those “visitable collections” provided for by the legislation, to describe the numerous possibilities of dividing the mineralogical collection into thematic collections and applying the requirements organization and conservation of mineralogical specimens.
