Abstract
O artigo traça uma sintética análise da greve de 120 dias dos docentes das Universidades Federais brasileiras, ocorrida em 2012. É conferida ênfase à discussão sobre os projetos governamentais para a educação superior no Brasil atual e a greve é tratada como um enfrentamento que teve como alvo principal justamente a degradação das condições de trabalho docente decorrentes desses projetos. Ao fim, é feita uma avaliação de alguns aspectos do impacto da greve na conjuntura.
