Uma análise do gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos em Nossa Senhora de Nazaré-PI

Abstract

This research aims to investigate how solid waste is being managed in cities, and also proposes to expand and generate new reflections on the subject. Its importance arises from the emergence of reversing the environmental problem of inadequate waste management. Therefore, the work was carried out in the city of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré-PI, and aimed to understand how the municipal management manages the discarded objects, as well as their final destination, investigate their strategies and measures to protect the environment. Furthermore, we sought to analyze the community's awareness of the current management of solid waste. The methodological processes go through the following steps: bibliographic survey, investigation of information, field research and organization of collected data. Due to the facts, it is concluded that municipal management needs to address the issue more intensively, in addition, it is necessary to properly adapt its services in relation to the collection and transport of solid waste.
