Abstract

for the above reactions, cholesterol, which is stored in lipid drops in an esterified form, should be transported to the mitochondria to provide synthesis of steroid hormones [7]. Naturally, morphological correlates of the processes of interaction of these various subcellular structures in the course of synthesis and release of steroid hormones are of interest. In our experiments, we morphologically studied bovine adrenal cortical cells trying to identify manifestations of probable spatial interaction of the mitochondria and lipid vesicles.
