Abstract

The investigations which have been completed indicate that blockade of synaptic transmission in the ganglion corresponds to the morphological picture of the synaptic intermediate phase. However, with regard to the existence of individual neurons having less expressed synaptic changes, it is not possible to exclude the possibility that blockade may develop in individual neurons already during the transition of the synapse from the phase of pericellular apparatus staining into the intermediate phase. Of course, this question could be answered conclusively by morphophysiological studies with individual neurons.
