Abstract

Abstracr-A monolithic array transducer with a 64 X 32 matrix of electrodes for precisely detecting a wide acoustic field is described. From the analyses of the diffuse effect in the solid and the electrostatic potential leakage at the surface, the geometry of sampling electrodes without loss of information and for little electrostatic correlation was decided. Qualitative explanations of the analytical results are derived. The displayed pictures demonstrated that the fabricated transducer was possessed of high uniformity and resolution and low cross talk.
