Abstract
AbstractThis article reviews the importance of embryo-fetal necropsy (especially in legal abortion), discusses how diagnosis is made and outlines its final aims. A detailed embryo-fetal necropsy must be made in all cases of ultrasound prenatal diagnosis of malformations. The purpose is to provide appropriate counseling and to control the quality. The ultrasonologist should be present at necropsy.
