Abstract

Introduction: In needle neurography, the correct and reproducable positioning of the active electrode near the nerve is critical, because the amplitude of the sensory nerve compound action potential (SNAP) depends on the distance between needle and nerve. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of ultrasound to guide the needle positioning for sural nerve neurography.
