Abstract

Supracervical; hysterectomy is a seldom-used procedure, but there are many women with a cervical stump. Manual pelvic examination of these women is&t oftenI diffult,: and identification :otf a pelvic mass in: women with a retained cervicalt stump often requires additional diagnostic testing, as problems in both the ovaries and cervix must be considered. A case of a benign cystic cervical stump with characteristics similar to ovarian cys tadenoma or cystadenocarcinoma is discussed.
